Jason Broderick’s work is defined by emotion and a desire to explore the concept of freedom through expressive and evocative imagery. Broderick’s signature raw, salt-stained style, is best suited to the rush of extreme sports, where he has a poetic way of slowing the moment down, whilst capturing the essence of the sport. He seeks to convey the emotional energy of a moment rather than simply depict reality. He sees himself as more of an artist than a technician. Whether running through fynbos or floating in the Atlantic, his unique use of natural light, & strong lines contrasted against movement results in powerful stylistic images that captivate the viewer, leaving a lasting impression.
